History of BOMAG

BOMAG stands as a distinguished heavyweight equipment manufacturer hailing from Germany, specializing in the production of road and construction equipment tailored for paving and compacting asphalt. Esteemed for its prowess in mechanical engineering, BOMAG upholds a commitment to utilizing only high-quality materials, presenting a vast array of products to discerning buyers.

The company has established its presence with six branches dispersed across various cities in Germany, supplemented by over 10 derivative companies boasting independent statuses.

Key offerings from BOMAG encompass a comprehensive range of equipment, including devices for asphalt laying, rollers for compacting asphalt and soil, recyclers, stabilizers, vibrating plates for asphalt compaction, pneumatic rollers, crushed stone distribution equipment, and tandem and combined rollers, among others.

Among the notable subsidiary brands associated with BOMAG are MARINI, headquartered in Italy; ERMONT, a French company; BREINING from Germany; and SECMAIR in France.

BOMAG's products find application in diverse realms such as road repair and construction, landscaping, road surface restoration, and waste disposal.

The origin of BOMAG dates back to 1957, with the establishment of the BOMAG MASCHINENBAU GESELLSCHAFT MBH corporation in Boppard, Germany. That pivotal year marked the introduction of the first compaction road rollers, revolutionizing the road construction market and promptly securing a leading position.

Starting from 1962, BOMAG ventured into the production of super-heavy models of asphalt paving products, reaching weights of 7-8 tons and achieving widespread usage on a production scale. The company extended its operations to the United States in 1970 and, in 1976, established an analytical and scientific research center dedicated to studying market trends and production technology.

Over the years, BOMAG has consistently broadened its production capabilities and product range, introducing the 29-ton asphalt roller in 1986, which remains a preferred choice for compaction work.

Since the turn of the century, BOMAG embarked on a global expansion initiative, opening branches worldwide, including China in 2002, France in 2005, and Italy in 2006. Each subsidiary focuses on modernizing and producing road equipment, with a commitment to exporting to any corner of the globe.

Assembling operations are strategically distributed across BOMAG's branches in France, Italy, Germany, the USA, and China. The company has implemented a well-defined system for exporting its goods, strategically placing subsidiaries in key countries. With over 2, 000 highly qualified employees contributing to the assembly process, BOMAG ensures that its products meet the highest standards.
