CLAAS Tractors History
The CLAAS company begins its history back in 1887, when Franz Claas started to manufacture milk centrifuges. In 1913, the management of the seedy business, still small at that time, passed to his son, August Klaas, who registered his own company. It is this date that is officially considered the "birthday" of the world famous company for the production of agricultural machinery. Founded in 1913, CLAAS is a family-owned company headquartered in Harsewinkel and is today one of the world's leading agricultural machinery manufacturers. The company now has more than 9,000 employees worldwide, each of whom works to ensure that CLAAS always produces modern, high-quality, reliable and productive agricultural machinery and equipment!
CLAAS is the optimal combination of price and quality in every unit of manufactured products.
Efficient Tractor Class
Today the German engineering company Claas enjoys mixed popularity. The demanded equipment has established itself as a reliable instrument of high economic performance. New high-tech modifications of tractors can significantly reduce energy consumption and, at the same time, qualitatively improve the efficiency of using German-made agricultural and industrial special equipment.
Model range of tractors class (Claas)
To date, 34 tractor models are presented, which in turn can be divided into 4 main groups.
"Giants" - Xerion 4 × 4
Xerion is the most powerful tractor from Claas. Continuously variable transmission, powerful engine and intelligent running gear. When developing the tractor, the designers paid a lot of attention to its versatility. The XERION combines the capabilities of a standard tractor with the advantages of a self-propelled machine and the tractive power of a tractor. Both axles of the Xerion are steerable, making the machine especially manoeuvrable. Depending on the tire type, the turning circle is about 12 m. The Xerion series has a parallel guidance system based on GPS technology. Claas GPS Pilot offers customers a variety of signals and strategies to automatically steer the machine.
The Axion series of tractors have received the most optimal weight distribution: 50% per axle, 6-cylinder FPT engine, the power of which ranges from 189 to 410 hp. and modern transmission. Thanks to the modern CPS (Claas Power System), the engine and transmission are successfully combined in the car.
With its long wheelbase and balanced weight distribution, the Axion's exhaust gas aftertreatment system meets the most demanding requirements in the tractor, making it suitable for all agricultural applications.
The Cmotion control lever is used to shift gears. The Cebis on-board computer also allows the operator to make numerous settings. The ability to easily adjust engine power and torque for different types of operations reduces fuel consumption and increases economic efficiency.
