History of Sampo Rosenlew Combines

Sampo Rosenlew is a medium-sized industrial company owned by Timo Prihti. The main specialization of the company is the production of combine harvesters. At the moment, two series of combines are being produced: Sampo-Rosenlew series 2000 and high-performance models - Sampo-Rosenlew series 3000.

Sampo Rosenlew was founded in 1991 when Timo Prihti acquired the company. The history of the company goes back to the century before last. Work in the production shops began in 1853 and continues to this day. The Rosenlew family were the first owners of the plant. Directly the production of combine harvesters began at the Porinsky plant in 1957.

After the acquisition of the enterprise by the new owner, much attention was paid to new developments. So the SR2000 series combine model and the SR2010 selection model have been significantly updated. The SR2010 is designed specifically for cereal research centers.

The high-performance SR3000 series combine harvesters first saw the light of day in the summer of 2001. To date, the series includes three victims of numerous innovative model changes. With its purposeful activities, the company has expanded its product range and increased its competitiveness.

To support the production of grain harvesting equipment, which is of a seasonal nature, in 1993 the production of industrial washing machines began. Industrial washers have taken their rightful place among Sampo Rosenlew's products on the international market.

After a long and careful development, in 1996 the first forest harvester Sampo Rosenlew SR1046 was introduced. The harvester family currently consists of two models: the compact and manoeuvrable SR1046X, designed for light felling, and the larger and more powerful SR1066, designed for clear felling and large trunks.

The main production of the company is a plant located in the city of Pori, in western Finland. Its workshops produce combine harvesters, forestry harvesters and industrial washers. The Sampo Rosenlew Group also includes Sampo Hydraulics, located in central Finland in the city of Jyväskylä, a manufacturer of high-quality hydraulic motors and rotators that are in demand on the world market. In addition to this, the company carries out the production of metal products through cooperation. Sampo Components, founded in 2005, manufactures various metal structures and components for heavy industry and is located near Pori in the town of Nakkila.
