The integrated VarioGrip tire pressure regulation system allows the operator to optimally adjust the tire pressure for field work and for road use. The tire pressure is adjusted based on the road conditions.
The efficiency of the engine allows the rated speed to be reduced to 2100 rpm. This not only further reduces fuel consumption, but also reduces noise levels.
With a maximum power output of up to 390 hp, the Fendt 900 Vario delivers tremendous power and superb acceleration. The 6-cylinder 7.8L Deutz engine with high-pressure battery injection provides tremendous tractive effort. The high injection pressure - 2000 bar - guarantees excellent atomization and therefore better fuel combustion.
The reversible fan is capable of automatically changing the direction of the air flow, effectively blowing through the radiator components. The position of the fan blades changes according to demand, increasing the cooling efficiency. This has a positive effect on fuel efficiency.

Thanks to the extended flat section of the torque versus engine speed curve, more power is available already in the lower rpm range. In addition, the constant power zone provides a wider engine speed range in which maximum power take-off can be made. In this range, the rated speed is equivalent to the maximum power.

The operator always has the opportunity to work at optimal engine speeds, which provides significant economic benefits. The Fendt 900 Vario is able to transfer 16% more loads, thanks to a top speed of up to 60 km / h at an economical 1,750 rpm. It is these advantages that make the difference in results at the end of the working day: for example, the Fendt 900 Vario, with a daily production order of 230 tons, transports 37 tons more in ten hours due to the higher speed. And when the Fendt 900 Vario is traveling at 50 km / m at an engine speed of 1450 rpm, the fuel economy is further enhanced.
Driving dynamics - safety and comfort
The independent hydropneumatic suspension of the wheels is made in the form of double wishbones, on which each wheel is individually suspended, which provides maximum comfort and better grip. This prevents the wheel from oscillating vertically when significant tractive effort is applied. The fully automatic leveling mechanism guarantees the same suspension travel on both sides with a front axle load of up to 8 tonnes. In addition, the 300mm suspension travel can be manually adjusted while the tractor is stationary, for example to assemble a front load without a front hitch.
